Banana Boat Summer Color Self-Tanning Mist (Airbrush Color)

DSCF3979
DSCF3979
Price: $6-$7
Whiterz Wordz:
This stuff doesn't smell as nice as the ModelCo Airbrush Tan In A Can. However, I love the color. It's nice because you don't have to use your hands to rub it in, it just mists on and viola! Finished!

Victoria's Secret- Drenched In Pink- Fruity & Bright (body mist & lotion)

Price: 2 for $20 (special)
Whiterz Wordz:
One of my absolute favorite fragrances in the world is Trish McEvoy (Sexy) #9- the scent is Blackberry & Vanilla Musk. I can bathe in this stuff, I love it so much! I just can't bring myself to buy another bottle of it (after my purse was stolen)- it ranges from $75 to over $100! Ahhh. While shopping for some underwear from PINK (VS), I was lucky enough to find the PERFECT dupe of #9! You all need to check it out and smell it!

Victoria's Secret- Beauty Rush- Body Drink Lotion in Passion Fruit Pop

DSCF4004
DSCF4004
Price: On Sale for $6 each (regular retail price: $12 each)
Whiterz Wordz:
Too bad they are discontinuing this scent- I really like it! It's fruity and fresh. Not a bad price, so I had to stock up on two. :)

Sephora Unique Cream Makeup Remover & The Body Shop Chamomile Gentle Eye Make-Up Remover Gel

DSCF4009
DSCF4009
Price: I got them both for free from Makeup Alley Swap
Whiterz Wordz:
I like these both equally the same. The Sephora one is a cream texture and The Body Shop is a gel texture. They equally work just as well at removing my eye makeup. They don't leave any sticky residue either! I just prefer wipes and remover pads.

ModelCo Tan Remover Exfoliating Scrub

DSCF4011
DSCF4011
DSCF4012
DSCF4012
Price: $18
Whiterz Wordz:
I really really like this scrub! It smells like grapefruit- yummy! It does an amazing job with exfoliating your skin. I like the consistency of the exfoliating beads, they are strong enough to really feel like you're scrubbing off your dead skin cells. Also, this is perfect if you accidentally mess up on your self/sunless-tanner. So no more worries about "orangy" skin!

NutriBiotic Foaming Facial Cleanser

DSCF4016
DSCF4016
Price: $11.95
Whiterz Wordz:
I have been using this facial cleanser for a while now, and I absolutely LOVE it!! It doesn't make the skin feel oily, nor dry- and it takes off ALL of my face makeup. Such a great price and it contains amazing ingredients!!
Description on the NutriBiotic website:

Foaming Facial Cleanser
with Organic Aloe Vera, Lipoic Acid, DMAE,
Vitamin C Ester, & Tocotrienol

Provides a luxurious foam and gentle, effective cleansing without drying your skin or making it feel taut. You skin will receive the proven benefits of Alpha Lipoic Acid, DMAE, Vitamin C Ester, and Tocotrienol. These four ingredients provide antioxidant protection for your skin making it look and feel its best. Contains the added skin soothing benefits of certified organic aloe vera. Gentle enough for everyday use.

Perlier Orchidea "Orchid" Bath Cream

DSCF4017
DSCF4017

Price: Approximately 4 Euro ($7-$8 USD)
Whiterz Wordz:
I bought this while I was in Italy (Siena) at an Italian retail chain called UPIM. WOW! They have amazing brands there!! Perlier is an Italian body care company. This scent is very light, not fruity- more flowery- but not overdone- I can't find this ANYWHERE!! HELP me find this!!  I need more of this stuff, it's UNBELIEVABLE how good it smells and how soothing it is on my skin. I use it everyday in the shower- I love love love it!!!

Pureology Nanoworks Restorative Hair Treatment

DSCF4023
DSCF4023
Price: $50+  (thank God I have a mom that's a hair stylist! lol)
Whiterz Wordz:
I know you are all thinking it's crazy to buy something this expensive but WOW, this stuff realllllllly works- no joke!!! I love it sooooo much. I use this treatment about every other week, because my hair is so damaged from coloring it. It truly DOES restore my hair! It's amazing!!! Truly amazing!! Personally, I love the entire Pureology line. I use the Hydrate Shampoo & Conditioner as well- I have very fine, thin hair and it breaks very easily- I honestly don't know how crappy my hair would look if I didn't use this product line!

Victoria's Secret- Stimulating Body Scrub in Love Spell

DSCF4025
DSCF4025
Price: On Sale for $2.50 (this is the smaller size)
Whiterz Wordz:
Have you ladies ever tried this body scrub? I love this stuff! I've been using it for a couple of years now, and it's definitely my HG body scrub! I even like it more than the ModelCo scrub- it leaves the Love Spell scent behind, which I like (and it's actually very hydrating!!).

So I just moved out of my condo :(
Since the ModelCo job didn't work out, and the economy SUCKS ASS right now, I have had a very hard time finding a job.
Luckily, my boyfriend was kind enough to take me in with open arms :)
So now I am back in my hometown- San Diego!! Yay!!
He has a very small 1 bedroom apartment so I really need to work with the little space I have.
I went with my friend Heather to the 99cent store and found really cute organizers to store SOME of my makeup and body care-

I've been trying to figure out what to use to store my Mineral Makeup Pigments (and foundations, etc.)-
I got the idea from other blogs that I've read to use a tackle box! I picked up 3 from Wal-mart and it's PERFECTION-
however, I have even more MMU piggies than I thought so I am going to go back and buy more! They're only $4! Not bad huh? I separated them by color-
(sorry for the crappy pics, I took it with my cell phone)

Cool Heat FOTD

  • Jul 5, 2008

So we went to this bar with a bunch of my boyfriend's fellow law students-

we sang karaoke (something Joe would NEVER do! lol)
we sang "L.A. Woman" by The Doors- OMG it was hilarious!! We had enough drinks to pull this off- however, I am sure it sounded like howling dogs!! lol

I used some of the new COOL HEAT (MAC) shadows...
LOVIN them!!

I look tan because I used my LORAC "Tantilizer" AND my ModelCo Airbrush Tan in a Can- so my foundation needed to be mixed with a darker color to avoid the "white face" look- lol

What I used:

Eyes:
MAC "beigeing" shadestick as a base
MAC "warm chill" e/s in the inner lid
MAC "warming trend" e/s in the middle of the lid
MAC "femme-fi" e/s as the brow bone highlight
MAC "climate blue" e/s in the outer lid/crease
MAC "blacktrack" fluidline as the eyeliner
MAC "plushblack" plushlash mascara

Face:
Laura Mercier Oil Free Primer
TheBalm "light/medium" time balm concealer (MY NEW HG concealer!!)
Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation SPF 15 (mixed Natural Beige & Sandy Beige)
Tarte "park ave. princess" as bronzer
NARS "crazed" blush
MAC "shimpagne" mineralize skinfinish as the cheek highlight

Lips:
(no lipliner or lipgloss)
MAC "masque" lipstick
with MAC "3N" lipstick applied over it (for the nude look!!)

Mini Drug Store Haul

  • Jun 29, 2008

So I went to Target w.the BF. He was shopping for Family Guy Season 5- and I went over to the cosmetic dept. and let me tell you, I RARELY EVER buy drug-store brands...they just never seem to please me. I don't know what it is.

Anyway, I bought a few items to give it a try.

Neutrogena Extra Gentle Eye Makeup Remover Pads
Price: $5.89 (on sale)
I LOVE THESE!!! The best part, is that they were super soft and they did a WONDERFUL job removing my eye makeup!! (just as good as my MAC wipes-my HG)

Here's what the wipe looks like after I removed my eye makeup:

Here's my EOTD and more pictures after using my Neutrogena Extra Gentle Makeup Remover Wipes:

L'Oreal Voluminous Eyeliner- Mistake Proof Marker
Shade: 450 Black Noir
Price: $5.94
After reading about this on another blog, I thought I'd give it a try.
I didn't like this AT ALL- it was gliding on pretty sheer and I had to go over it a bunch of times.
It ended up looking like VINYL on my eyes- I don't like that vinyl look.

Rimmel Spark It Up!- Gleaming Eye Darkening Liner
Shade: 610 Tiger's Eye
Price: $4.89
Okay this, besides the Neutrogena makeup remover pads, is my favorite out of this haul.
It reminds me somewhat of MAC's TEDDY Eye Kohl...bronzey-dark color- super pretty!

Revlon Gloss
Shade: 020 Pink Afterglow
Price: $5.94
This color is very pretty, however, when I applied it, it was a bit sticky and I could feel the tiny sparkles on my lips when I rubbed them together- I really don't like the feeling of this on this lips- I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't like the gritty sparkly feel.
DSCF3766DSCF3767DSCF3769DSCF3772

L'Oreal Infallible Never Fail Lipgloss
Shade: 125 Bloom
Price: $7.64
I HATE this stuff!! When I first applied it, it felt super smooth and the color is pretty. However, since it claims to stay on for 6 hours, it became more and more dry (completely dried out my lips)- it also started to get cakey and I had to rub hard to get this crap off of my lips! Yuck!
DSCF3773DSCF3776DSCF3780DSCF3777DSCF3779

So I guess this wasn't too eventful! Sorry gals! The products I recommend trying are the remover pads by Neutrogena and the Rimmel eye liner. Hope this will be of some use to you!!

Swimsuit Anxiety

  • Jun 26, 2008

So I have ALWAYS hated swimsuit shopping!

It's just one of those things I don't enjoy-
However, for YEARS now, I have been wanting to buy one of those swimsuits from the 40's-50's.
They seem very sexy to me, yet at the same time, they offer more coverage than the skimpy impy tweeny yellow polkadot bikini ones! lol
Don't get me wrong! If you have the body for it, they look great!!
I have had the hardest time finding the old-style suits!!

But, lo and behold I found a great site that sells them!!

Pin Up Girl Clothing.
I was looking around the site and I found some realllllly cute bathing-suits.

I wanted to know what you ladies thought!!

May Wedding

  • Jun 23, 2008

Here's a wedding I did (back in May)- never had the time to post it- so here ya go!!

This was for a woman (i think in her late 30's) who was getting married for her second time.
The bridesmaids were all married with children. (just to give you an idea of the age group I worked with)
Everyone was so sweet- I was able to work outside in natural lighting- with a view overlooking the ocean!
I had to apply everything heavier than I normally would like to, because they had about 6 hours to wait until the actually ceremony-
